Blooming Stars Therapy is committed to helping your child to progress at school, especially when it comes to completing writing assignments. You can count on us to make writing fun, be professional, timely, efficient and make sure you and your kid are having fun every step of the way.
Kalina Kotseva MScA, OTR/L
Owner
Kalina Kotseva, OTR/L received her Occupational Therapy degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She worked in acute care hospitals with older adults for a year. She moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2016 in pursuit of her passion to work with kids. Kalina has worked in the field of pediatric occupational therapy for over eight years and has experience providing occupational therapy in school settings, clinic settings and at home. During that time she has gained skills to assess kids’ strengths and help them improve their skills across all activities of daily living to the best of their ability.
Kalina has acquired continuing education in Sensory Integration, Handwriting Without Tears, Cognitive Orientation to Occupational Performance (CO-OP), Zones of Regulation (ZoR), Reflex integration, Yoga for school, Integrated Playgroups, strategies specific to ASD, Zumbini - movement and music for kids 0-3 years old and Zumba Kids.
Kalina lives in Millbrae and when she is not working, loves to dance salsa, read, listen to music and do Zumba.
Kalina is one of the best occupational therapists I've worked with. She somehow floats around, adjusts herself to the kids' desires and is able to persuade them to compete all tasks she wants them to do. Although se doesn't accept no for an answer, the kids love her!
